Jane is responsible for our Communication and Knowledge Exchange.
She therefore ensure that the correct communication method is used to reach particular stakeholders, such as News updates, Data Insights, Blogs, Publications, Newsletters, Podcasts, Videos, Webinars or Conferences.  
Jane has over 25 years experience (12 yrs with UoE) in communications, marketing and event management.

Harriet Baird

Harriet Baird is Impact and Knowledge Exchange Manager for the centre and focuses on policy engagement and impact for ADR Scotland. She previously worked at The National Archives and University of Surrey, supporting academics in translating their research and engaging wider audiences.

Iain Atherton

Iain leads SCADR's Health and social care research programme.
He is a Reader in Nursing at Edinburgh Napier University, with expertise in population health and has previously worked in clinical nursing practice. He studied MSc Medical Demography at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine before completing his doctorate at the University of St Andrews.

He is interested in care provision in the context of an ageing population, including that provided informally as well as by health and social care professionals.

Professor Chris Dibben

Chris is Director of the Centre and Co-Director of ADR Scotland with Ally McAlpine, Scottish Government. He is Chair in Geography at the School of GeoSciences, University of Edinburgh and also Director of the Scottish Longitudinal Study

Chris leads the Lifelong Health and Wellbeing research strand and co-leads the Creating New Datasets programme.

He is part of the Scottish Government's COVID-19 data and intelligence network.

Professor Morag Treanor

Morag is co-lead of our Understanding Children's Lives and Outcomes research programme. The primary focus of her work is child poverty – its measurement, causes, consequences, mitigation and prevention. Her research uses birth cohort and administrative data to explore the impacts of longitudinal poverty on children’s outcomes, wellbeing and transitions. It also focuses on the wider context of family, peer and social relations on child wellbeing.

Morag's work spans academic research and publications and applied social research for public and voluntary bodies. She is a member of the Child Poverty Action Group’s advisory board and the Scottish Government’s Poverty and Inequality Commission.

Professor Susan McVie

Susan leads the Safer Communities research programme for the centre. She is Chair of Quantitative Criminology within the School of Law at the University of Edinburgh, Director of the ESRC-funded Understanding Inequalities (UI) project, Co-Director of the Edinburgh Study of Youth Transitions and Crime, and a member of the Management Committee for the Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research (SCCJR).
